Year 2 have been learning a range of different skills in Forest School, orienteering, rain gauge making and even creating and testing our own wooden rafts.

In Year 6 we have been learning about ‘Fake News’ understanding the difference between fact and opinion. We considered how we can be responsible consumers of information to help stop the spread of fake news.
In our Science work, year 6 have been exploring electrical circuit components. Making observations and testing theories. We saw some fantastic examples of problem solving and trouble shooting to fix faults.
Linked to our assembly theme this week ‘Which books inspire us?’ Year 6 had breakfast with a book, sharing stories and discussing our favourites.
Reception class have been busy creating their own ‘long ago’ photographs using the iPads.

Inspirational maths week 16th January
Year 4 had to develop strategies to win in a quantities game, test and create models for different ways of creating half of a whole and create 2-D geometrical shapes by cutting them out of a folded piece of paper with just one cut. These tasks explored maths ideas that speed isn’t important and making mistakes helps our brains grow. 
In our Music lessons, Year 4 have been looking at body percussion as well as developing our understanding of staff notation.
Reception went to the Discovery Museum as part of our topic ‘Long Ago’.

Year 4 having been learning about British Invasions and we rehearsed and performed an assembly on the Vikings. Our adults came to watch.
In Whacky Wellbeing club this week, we looked relaxation activities such as colouring in and origami. We made paper aeroplanes and then decorated them.
