
On their Diversity Day visit to France, year six learnt all about the physical and man-made features of France as well as naming it’s towns cities and famous landmarks. They had great fun playing, “Jacques a dit” and “Trouvez le criminel.”
Year 6 had a visit today from Emily from Healthy Minds. They talked about their concerns about transitioning to Comprehensive and discussed coping methods to deal with any worries.

This week in Art, year 6 colour-matched paintings of insects by the artist, Lucy Arnold.

This week in cricket, year 6 combined all of the throwing, catching, batting, bowling and fielding skills that they have learnt over the past weeks in order to play a competitive game of cricket.
In week 5 of cricket, year 6 continued to practise their catching, batting and overarm bowling (with an added bounce before delivery.)
In lesson 1 of their new art topic, Bees, Beetles , and Butterflies, year six created observational sketches of a variety of insects. 🦟

Just before half term, year 6 celebrated the end of SATs, with a well deserved trip to Marine Park.

Fun in the rain! Year 6 completed a Pokémon maths scavenger hunt to practise a variety of maths reasoning problems.
