In art, year six learnt how the Pop Art movement uses vibrant bright colours. They colour matched pop art images of Elvis Presley, then used the same colours on pictures of bees.

Year 6 had a fabulous time today, with their buddies, at Valley View Park.
In music, Year 6 learnt to play notes of different durations in a piece of music.
In athletics week three, Year 6 learned to adapt and control their running pace to suit the activity.
Year 6 took part in the “WAY 2 Go” workshop today, discovering how to plan safe routes to their new comprehensive schools.

In week 2 of Athletics, year 6 learnt to use effective sprinting techniques; how to pass and receive a baton correctly and how to work as part of a team.
Year 6 – World Music Day
In English, year 6 are studying and analysing the poem, The Tyger, by William Blake. Today, they annotated the poem, highlighting description, rhyming words, repetition and figurative language. The children then read the poem to their peers.
Year six used fieldwork skills to investigate and compare the environmental quality of different areas within the school grounds.
