Year 3 took part in a cricket session today

Year 3 spent some time outside on Friday afternoon, sketching some of the lovely wild flowers in our forest garden 🌷🌼🪻🌺

Year 3 loved their visit to Miss Edwards’ shop on Wednesday! We used resources to purchase items & pay for our goods! We could all identify different ways of paying using different coins 💰

On their Diversity Day visit to France, year 3 learned about France and the countries surrounding it as well as French commands and a French song, “La Belle au Bois Dormant.” (Sleeping Beauty.)

Year 3 stepped into the roles of reporters and eye witnesses this week linked to our Newspaper Report sequence in English. We questioned each other using the 5 Ws (who, what, when, where and why) to ensure all essential details were covered 

Our Year 3 trip to the Centre for Life was a fantastic way to finish our “Rocks, Relics and Rumbles” topic. In the “Dino Bites” workshop, we learned what it’s like to be a paleontologist – bringing our learning to life!

Y3 have had the best day for World Book Day! We enjoyed breakfast with a book and spent the afternoon doing lots of activities around our chosen book “The pebble in my pocket” 🪨🌋📚
