Year 3 stepped into the roles of reporters and eye witnesses this week linked to our Newspaper Report sequence in English. We questioned each other using the 5 Ws (who, what, when, where and why) to ensure all essential details were covered 
Our Year 3 trip to the Centre for Life was a fantastic way to finish our “Rocks, Relics and Rumbles” topic. In the “Dino Bites” workshop, we learned what it’s like to be a paleontologist – bringing our learning to life!
Y3 have had the best day for World Book Day! We enjoyed breakfast with a book and spent the afternoon doing lots of activities around our chosen book “The pebble in my pocket” 🪨🌋📚
In PSHE, year 3 discussed bullying and the effect it has on people. They then created posters on the four types of bullying or to demonstrate the effect bullying has on people.

Year 3 have started a new topic in Art this term, looking at Ammonite. We used our Oracy skills to discuss the form, shape and use of pattern, before sketching our own ammonite fossils 
Year 3 have been exploring force meters in Science last week, looking at the force of everyday tasks in and around our classroom 👩🔬
