Year 6 are starting their PE sessions with cross country running, aiming to work on stamina and endurance.

Year 6 have stared their Maafa history unit by researching a country in Africa.

In our first lesson for DT year 6 looked at a variety of processed foods, collecting data on ingredients, food colourings and preservatives and created a table of important information.

A wonderful final Sports Day for Year 6. What a lovely day we’ve had competing against our friends in a range of different sports.
Our Year 6 and Reception pupils got to have a lovely picnic at the park with their buddies. They played games with each other and had the loveliest time!
Year 6 had the chance to visit Jarrow Hall and partake in a collective singing event with other schools in the local area. Then we got to explore Jarrow Hall and participate in some activities.
Year 6 had a fantastic day learning about a range of different careers that members of our local community have.
Year 6 were lucky enough to get to visit Safety Works! which is a multi-agency interactive safety centre serving the community of Tyne & Wear. Children looked at different scenarios that could present a danger and how to maintain their own and others safety in such a situation.
Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic Friday at the Quadkids athletics competition. We all took part in a 600m run, 75m sprint, long jump and howler throw. We showed amazing competitive spirit and good sportsmanship all day cheering and supporting other competitors. Well done!
