What a treat, today we got to spend some quality time with our buddies in reception, at the end of a long day of activities we did some jungle dancing!
As part of our learning about World War II, Year 6 took part in a Holocaust workshop where we learned about Jewish lives prior to WWII.
Year 6 participated in a day of Coronation fun at St Oswald’s with our pen pals. We learned our song for the Coronation celebration and created Coronation crafts.
Year 6 have been refining their Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling skills with a ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ style quiz.
In Year 6 we completed Maths relays completing a range of different SATs style questions and using our verbal reasoning skills to ascertain answers as a group.
Year 6 visited Openzone @ The Word and developed their understanding of coding, they had to work in teams to build and programme robots.
As part of the ‘Litter Heroes’ Project Year 6 took their turn in cleaning up our community.
As part of World Maths Day, Year 6 have been creating tessellation based art in the style of Wassily Kandinsky.
In Year 6 we’ve been learning new rugby skills linked to throwing and catching.
Year 6 considered a range of primary and secondary sources, considering who was responsible for the sinking of The Titanic.
