Year 1 – Art Afternoon, Street View

11th May 2026Mr G Mcintosh
Year 1 had a fantastic, artistic afternoon today diving enthusiastically into their new topic of Street View!
This topic looks at pop art, focussing on a very funny and unique artist James Rizzi.
We began by using our observation skills to sketch houses opposite the school, adding as much detail as possible, to comparing two pieces of art to highlight similarities and differences, before looking at some pieces of art by James Rizzi to inspire us to try his style for ourselves.
We really enjoyed it and can’t wait to do more!
