Reception have been exploring length using sticks in our forest area.
Year 4 have been studying the book ‘Gregory Cool’ by Caroline Binch. We re-enacted parts of the story and added in our own dialogue as we inferred the characters thoughts and feelings.
We studied some of the works of Roald Dahl and researched his life and works. Most of all though, we just enjoyed having some time to read!
This week in science Year 5 have been investigating ‘Why do birds lay eggs?’. We started by thinking about why birds lay eggs, then we made a prediction about what we might find inside our egg. We then investigated and produced an annotated drawing to showcase our results. Overall we had an eggcellent afternoon.
This term Reception are learning some yoga, mindfulness and calming breathing.
George and Tom had a great time picking some pumpkins ready to carve for Halloween!
