Year 4 explored what life was like in Sumerian City States and presented their findings to the rest of the class.

In Year 5 we have been designing self portrait collages.
Some of our Year 3 children had a lovely morning at Boldon Tennis Club competing against a number of other schools in different tennis activities.
Year 4 enjoyed an afternoon at Jarrow Library listening to one of the librarians reading us her favorite story. We had some time to browse the library and were able to bring a book back to school.
Year 6 continued their ‘Mend and Do’ project, practising our running stitch and whip stitch.
Year 3 have been answering the question ‘How can I set up and carry out some simple, comparative and fair tests, making predictions for what might happen?’ The children investigated which materials were reflective using torches.
Some of our Year 4 children had an amazing morning in the sun at the Boldon tennis tournament!
Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon in the Forest Garden with Mr Usher. We were learning about simple mechanisms such as pulleys, levers and axels. We had to use the objects we could find to help us overcome various challenges that the Egyptians might have faced moving giant stones across the desert to build pyramids.
