Using games to help learn how to say who is in my family tree.
Year 3 and 4 had the opportunity to represent Bede Burn Primary School at the South Tyneside Athletics competition today. Children participated in a range of track and field events against schools from across the borough, some fantastic individual and team performances were on show.

Year 6 and their reception buddies had a lovely trip to the library where we enjoyed reading books together. After that, we had a little picnic in the park, what a lovely day!
Year Four created their own Venn diagrams to explore the similarities and differences between forgiveness in Judaism and Buddhism. We have learnt that Buddhist’s believe in the importance of forgiveness between humans whereas Jewish people believe it is just as important to ask for forgiveness from God.
Year 6 got the chance to visit St Paul’s church to partake in a celebration linked to St Bede.
Year 4 enjoyed a day outside taking part in Level 1 Bikeability, we learned how to keep ourselves safe on bikes.
Year 5 have had a brilliant time in forest school this week. We have also tested thermal conductivity in science and learned all about the Sikh celebration of Vaisakhi.
Wow what a fantastic experience for our Year 6s today, visiting one of the show homes at Monkton Gardens where they have built a bedroom following the design ideas of our competition winner!
After a busy week giving the SATs all that we could, Year 6 went for some fresh air in the park and then got to play some games at the bowling club.
In RE Year 5 have been learning about the celebration of Vaisakhi.
