Year 4 had a very busy (and slightly wet) day in Durham today! We visited Durham Cathedral and enjoyed exploring the city centre.
Today Year 4 travelled back to 3100BCE and had a day of all things Ancient Egypt! We have drawn our own pyramids and made our own Egyptian Cobra headbands. We were all so interested learning all about the curse of Tutankhamun’s tomb!

Year 4 have been using clay to create geometric tiles to finish off our Islamic Art topic. The tiles are looking amazing so far – we can’t wait to see them painted!
Today in Science, Year 4 tested a range of different materials and predicted whether their circuits would work!
Year 4 enjoyed a day at the Hancock museum focusing on all things Ancient Egyptian! Our favorite part of the day was seeing the real mummified people called Irtyru and Bakt en Hor.

Year 4 created and followed some fabulous mummification instructions to the class. We even had our very own Mummified Podcast! Well done Year 4!
Year 4 have started a new topic in Science learning all about Electrical Circuits and Conductors. We spent the afternoon constructing our own simple series circuits using a range of components.
Year 4 had a fantastic (but chilly) afternoon doing the Seascapes programme where we got to study our local habitats and search for a range of plants and animals.
