Year 6 attended a RAP event at the South Shields Fire Station working with local emergency services to understand how to keep themselves safe and avoid dangerous situations.
In science Year 4 have been exploring sounds and observing how we can change the volume and pitch. We have looked for visible vibrations on our drums and also listened for environmental sounds outside.
Year 3 enjoyed a very successful trip to the Hancock museum. A great day learning about the Ice age to the Stone age.
Year 5 have been outdoors in the Forest School looking for inspiration for their writing.
This week in Art we have been using a range of warm and cool colours to create a foreground/background effect in our paintings. We are all now pros in colour theory! Well done Year 4!

Year 1 had a great time visiting our local church, St Peter’s, last Monday. We learned all about what happens during Sunday Service and why people visit church.
On Friday in DT, our Y4 chefs were making fresh, healthy snacks. We designed and made our own fruit skewers, fruity popcorn and even made our own hummus with veggie sticks! Fresh food, good food!

This week Year 5 completed our gold art task where we created our own tints, tones and shades in landscape paintings. We then sat up an art gallery where we appraised each others work. Well done Year 5!
