A big thank you to everyone that joined us for our Y4 cool afternoon! We had so much fun completing our Children In Need work!
oday our fabulous Y4 children were personally invited to a service of thanksgiving for the Venerable Bede at St Paul’s Church. We listened to stories about Venerable Bede and our very own even got up to speak with the Bishop of Durham!
Year 5 got a chance to visit Openzone @ The Word to develop their computing skills, it involved programming, debugging and tinkering. Fantastic skills to develop as we prepare for Life in Modern Day Britain.
Year 5 have started their Space topic in Science. They spent this lesson creating our own model solar system to scale on the school yard, it is fascinating to see the difference in size of some of the planets.
A gorgeous photo of some Child Initiated Learning in Reception class this morning, the children were keen to practise their songs for the Christingle service coming up!
Year 3 have really enjoyed exploring clay and replicating styles and patterns used on bell beaker pottery linked to our ‘Through the ages’ topic. We can’t wait to see their finished bell beaker pots!
