Year 2 have been enjoying lots of World Book Day activities.

Throughout the day, year 6 have been exploring the book ‘The Search for the Giant Arctic Jellyfish’, focusing on summary, inference and personal opinions.
Y6 have been decorating a cup with our favourite story book character, then visiting ‘Starbooks’ for a hot chocolate whilst we share stories.

Yesterday Year 5 used flash cards to explore some key physical features and environmental regions of North and South America linked to our Sow, Grow and Farm topic in Geography.

Year 2 enjoyed delicious pancakes to celebrate pancake day!

Year 6 researched facts about penguins then followed a tutorial to draw penguins to add to their fact files. They also used their art skills to mix tints, tones and shades in cool colours to create icy, igloo artwork. Their fun-packed “Faraway Friday” was finished off with chalk sketches of the Aurora Borealis.
