Year 5 spent the day exploring and creating circuits online using Crumble. They had the opportunity to design, test and experiment with different circuit configurations.

In computing, we programmed robots to navigate the city, and of course, no London day would be complete without a screening of Paddington! We even found time for a delightful tea party… thankfully, nobody slipped on a jam tart! It was a fantastic day full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of London magic.

Year 6 starting the morning with ‘Poetry and Pancakes’ – sharing poems and developing our oracy skills by reading out loud.

Year 5 have been using Kleki to create some abstract art images today. We used graphics software and digital photography to edit our images, well done Year 5!



A group of children from Year 2, competed in a South Tyneside School Sports Gymnastic Event. Mrs Churchward and Mr McIntosh were so proud of them competing individually to represent Bede Burn and finishing 9th out of 19 school groups.

As part of Year 2’s science topic ‘Uses of Materials’, we were testing the strength, texture and absorbency of different types of paper.

On Monday, Reception created some transitional art. We created pictures of Mary’s garden from the nursery rhyme ‘Mary, Mary Quite Contrary’ linked to our topic ‘Stories and Rhymes’. We used different materials and our imagination to create our own flowers and shells.
