Year 6 completed their DT Engineering topic by working in groups to design and build the strongest bridge possible using, paper, straws and tape. The strength of the bridges was then tested by adding 2p pieces to the bridge until it collapsed.

Year 5 have been working on their distance and accuracy in golf today, trying to send our balls a
across the “swamp” ⛳️ Well done Year 5!

Today in Year 2, we have been practising running stitches as part of our DT topic ‘Cut, stitch and join’.
Year 5 played an intense game of “Invest for Success” during PSHE this afternoon – deciding between different investments and rolling a dice to see wether we would gain or lose money. We discussed the different kinds of financial risks and how they can be avoided.

This week in Forest School, Reception helped Mr Usher by planting our seed shoots that were beginning to grow from the seeds that each class had planted .
As part of our topic ‘Animal Safari’, Reception have been finding out about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores this afternoon, looking at what they are and what animals eat.

Year 6 enjoyed time at the park following their SATs. They played in the park , had a train ride and an ice cream!

Year 4 had their next Tennis lesson on Thursday in P.E. We practised our forehand and backhand strokes over the nets during our games with our partners. Check out some of our action shots!

Year 3 had a wonderful time on Thursday celebrating VE Day with the rest of the school! What a fantastic day it was!
