Year 5 and 6 are exploring comic books. They are creating characters in preparation for designing their own comic strips

In Year 1, as part of their topic ‘Chop, slice and mash’, they have been chopping, slicing, mashing and peeling different fruits and vegetables and then tasting them to investigate the taste and texture.

Year 3 have enjoyed creating and exploring branching databases in our computing lessons this week. They have created fantastic questions and answers for their partners to solve!


Year 5 had a fabulous day at the Centre for Life! We explored several exciting areas of the museum, starting with the brand-new Lightbox area. In the WOW Zone, we had a chance to get hands-on with pulleys – a perfect flashback to our Forces and Mechanisms topic from earlier in the year. We showed off our impressive space knowledge too!
The main focus of the day was a science workshop, packed full of exciting experiments focusing on our current science topic, Properties and Changes of Materials.

In today’s Athletics lesson, year 6 worked in teams to practise relay and hurdles.

In History, as part of their Magnificent Monarchs topic, ,Year 2 have been sequencing significant sovereigns in chronological order.

Year 6 attended a Road Safety workshop today, in preparation for their transition to Comprehensive.

Year 6 enjoyed a fabulous Aspirations Day on Friday with a wide variety of inspiring talks, demonstrations and workshops.

In lesson 2 of their Art topic, Bees, Beetles and Butterflies, Year 6 observed mixed media art work by Lucy Arnold. After choosing a favourite image, they then used watercolours to record the colour palette used in the artists work.
