In this week’s athletics PE lesson, year 6 learned several skipping techniques and practised a variety of races for sports day.

Year 4 had their next Golf session this afternoon. We played cross the swamp using our launchers and the rollers whilst aiming to complete the hole in as few shots as possible. Then, we added in barriers and obstacles as a further challenge. Check out some of our action photos!

Year 2 have spent the afternoon looking for minibeasts in their microhabitats in the Forest Garden. We looked under logs and stones and found ladybirds, woodlice, slugs and lots of spiders! ️

Year 4 enjoyed their Djembe drumming session on Friday afternoon. We warmed up by playing elimination before practising our primary rhythm and ensuring we were using the correct volume. We then practised our crescendo and diminuendo; we practised playing using the correct rhythm to stay in time with the rest of our group. Check out some of our in action photos!
Year 4 had a very interesting visit to the Hancock Museum yesterday. We explored the Egyptian displays to further our knowledge of Ancient Civilisations before completing quizzes about Egyptians and cracking the codes using Egyptian Hieroglyphics. It was a great day!
Year 5 and 6 had a lovely morning singing and dancing along with a live band. A super opportunity to listen to musicians in action.

In RE, Year 1 have been talking about Shabbat, as part of their topic ‘Judaism’. We discussed the different features of a Shabbat table and had a look at some of the special items that are used.

In Year 1, we have been creating our own fruit salads as part of our DT topic ‘Chop, slice and mash’. We prepared all the fruit, remembering how to use the equipment safely from our last lesson.

Year 4 enjoyed their third Golf session this afternoon. We practised hitting the ball as far as possible whilst maintaining accuracy. Check out some of our action photos!
