Year 4 enjoyed a festive, Christmas morning at St. Oswald’s Primary School this morning where we enjoyed watching a Christmas movie (The Grinch), with hot chocolate and festive colourings. We had a lovely morning and thank you St Oz for hosting our Year 4 collab.
Year 5 were a massive help to Mr Usher getting the Forest School ready ahead of our Spring Term. We spent the afternoon, clearing and tidying different areas that we will be using in our Farm, Grow & Sow topic.
We even got to do some Archery as a treat for all our hard work.
This afternoon, Reception had a visit from the Ambulance Service as part of our Marvellous Machine topic. We learnt all about what an ambulance does, and all of the equipment that they use to help people. We even got to press the horn to sound the siren! 
As part of our Earth and Space topic in Science, Year 5 have been researching times of day around the world. We were all very excited watching a live video of Times Square, NYC!
Last week we were making our Christingles for our Christingle service. As part of our RE topic we have been learning about the meaning of christingle and why we celebrate it.
Year 5 had a fantastic afternoon representing the school at the South Tyneside School Sports Network Indoor Athletics Competition. The children got to compete in a range of track and field events.
Year 5 loved No Pens Day! We spent the morning learning some performance poetry, that we later performed to some of our parents and carers.
