Linked to our Rocks, Relics and Rumbles topic Year 3 had a fantastic opportunity to see an eruption in the classroom thanks to a fantastic project that was completed at home!
In Science this half term we have been learning all about states of matter. We have been outside learning about different particles. We even had a little chocolate button that started off as a solid but melted on our tongues!

Year 6 had a lovely start to their Friday, Poetry & Pancakes – sharing and enjoying poems whilst having a breakfast treat 
Today in Art we researched our own images of mountain landscapes and we spent the afternoon sketching and colouring in our own drawings. We used a range of warm and cool colours and lots of shading to give our drawings a realistic effect.
For world religion day, Year 4 have been learning about Islam and the beliefs held by Muslims.
Year 6 have had a great time learning the basics of netball with our coaches from the Foundation Of Light.
Year 2 wrapped up the year with a lovely trip to the Laing Art Gallery linked to their still life topic work. As an extra treat, they even got to see the Fenwicks’ window on the way home.
As part of our Christmas Movie Morning, Year 1 jumped aboard the Polar Express, hot chocolate and pyjamas for everyone!
Year 5 had a cracking time at their Christmas party; dancing, games and treats with friends. What an end to the term!
