As part of our learning we have been combining our maths, art and topic knowledge to create London landmarks.
In Reception, we have been talking about toys from the past as part of our topic ‘Long Ago’. We then made peg dolls to add to our small world area in class.

In PSHE, year 3 discussed bullying and the effect it has on people. They then created posters on the four types of bullying or to demonstrate the effect bullying has on people.
For this half term’s forest school with Mr Usher, year 5 searched for lots of information sheets hidden around forest school all about farming in the UK, which links to our current Geography topic! We found lots of information about the day in the life of a farmer and how their role changes across the year depending on the season.

Year 4 worked in groups to identify and describe the formation of different mountain types. After that, the children looked in detail at a Scafell Pike (a volcanic mountain) and used research to create a case study.

Year 6 researched Polar Bears, creating fabulous documentary style movies, (all of which can be seen on Seesaw.) They also researched facts about David Attenborough, creating poster style fact files.

Continuing with their Inuit art topic, year 6 sketched and painted their own versions of Kenojuak Ashevak’s The Enchanted Owl.

Year 4 added times to their daily routine, using du matin, de l’après-midi and du soir to confirm morning afternoon or evening.

Reception enjoyed an afternoon in the forest garden. We explored the area and then planted our own vegetables and flowers.
