In DT, year 4 started their new topic, Functional and Fancy Fabrics, by exploring and investigating a variety of fabrics, recording their observations in a table.

In week one of hockey, year four learned how to hold their hockey stick correctly and to pass and receive the ball.
In PSHE, year four discussed the benefits of teamwork. They then worked in teams solving clues to discover who had stolen their headteacher’s laptop.

Year 2 have had a lovely afternoon in the forest garden making their own Easter gardens linked to their RE topic.

Year 4 enjoyed a great morning with Northumbrian Water, learning about the water cycle and how to save water.They acted out the water cycle, created freeze frames to show water waste, and performed their own adverts encouraging others to save water.💧
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed a Ripple Effect Workshop from Northumbrian Water. We looked at the different parts of the water cycle before acting out each part. Then, we explored how we can use water efficiently and strategies to support this. Check out some pictures from our creative drama poses!

As part of Reception’s topic ‘Ready Steady Grow’, reception have been creating fruit artwork inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
Year 5 and 6 were treated to an extra PE slot this week where we got to take part in a yoga session! It was so relaxing and mindful! We were definitely very ‘zen’ by the time we returned to class!

In PE this week, year 5 and 6 practiced their hockey skills. We started with some dribbling drills before getting into teams and having a go at some games!
