Year 5 have been practising their Cross Country this afternoon where we have focused on strategies that we can use to help us when we start to get tired during a cross country run. We focused on using our arms, tactics in a race and motivating each other.

Year 5 have been exploring ordnance survey maps in our Geography where we have been exploring human and physical features; contour lines; six figure grid references.
Year 3 visited the Bede Burn polling station today to cast their votes for our new school councillors 
This morning, Year 4 visited the polling station to vote for their new school councillors. Good luck to all of our candidates!

On Friday morning, Year 5 delivered their School Council manifestos to the rest of their class. We practised our Oracy skills and are looking forward to voting for our school councillors on Monday. Check out some of us in action!
Year 2 have started their first topic ‘Movers and Shakers’, we have been looking at some of the significant people within our topic and deciding how significant they are using Dawson’s Model. It has been so interesting learning about activists, explorers, artists, scientists and monarchs! 
Year 5/6 enjoyed their homework reward on Friday morning. We participated in various activities including colouring, outdoor games, Just Dance, crafts and games. We had a great morning!
Last Friday, year 6 school council candidates delivered their manifestos to the class. Lots of lovely ideas shared for actions they would like to achieve if elected.
We listened to some amazing manifestos in Year 3 on Friday, ahead of our school council elections next week! ️
On Friday afternoon, Year Four explored food chains and food webs. They identified producers and primary, secondary, and tertiary consumers. They discussed how a food web shows how living things in an ecosystem are interdependent. They even created their very own food chains and webs from their research of ecosystems. Well done Y4!
