Year 5 enjoyed Poetry and Pancakes with their parents as part of World Poetry Day. We explored figurative language poetry features throughout the day before showcasing our work to our parents. To finish it off, we enjoyed some pancakes and juice. Thank you to all the parents/carers who joined us. Check out some of our photos!
Year Six took part in their first Gymnastics lesson. They began by playing a game of ‘walk the plank’ to test their teamwork. After that, they practiced stance and posture. They finished the lesson by showing off some very tricky balancing skills!
After some constructive feedback from Mrs Smith & Mr Usher, Year 2 have focussed in and worked so hard on their setting descriptions. They actively used their plans to help them write all about the rainforest as inspired by our book ‘Greta and the Giants’. Mr Ferraro and Miss Bell are so proud of them.

Last week in maths, Year One have been exploring number using part whole models, practising our under arm throwing skillls at the same time.
Year 3 used base tens on Thursday to help visualise adding and subtracting 10s and 1s !

Year 4 had a wonderful day celebrating World Poetry Day! We wrote our own haiku poems and performed them to our parents. We even enjoyed pancakes!

Year 5 started Sportshall Athletics in their P.E. this afternoon. After warming up, we practised the javelin, which is one of the field events in Sportshall Athletics. We focused on starting in the offset position and pulling the javelin through. Check out some of our in action photos!
Yesterday, Reception went on an adventure around our local area, visiting the park and enjoying a teddy bears picnic with our friends from St Oswald’s.
