Year 2 worked well together in groups today to identify where our food comes from as we start our new DT topic of Remarkable Recipes. Our oracy skills helped us to listen to each other and discuss where each item belonged. Great job Year 2!

Year 3 have made tacos in DT yesterday! We had lots of thumbs up!
Year 5 had their final Dodgeball lesson on Tuesday afternoon in preparation for the Dodgeball Competition next week. We focused on our strategy and tactics to make it as hard as possible for the opposing team to catch our balls. We have our competitive spirit and we’re looking forward to the competition. Year 4 had fun composing their own rhythm , using patterns of long and short sounds. In groups, the children created a 16 beat rhythm of their own. The children then performed their rhythms!
On Friday morning, Year 2 produced their final write for their shape poetry in English. We were so excited to do this digitally on the chromebooks before drawing our shapes to match. We were so impressed with all of the poems! .
Some of our Year Five children got the chance to try their aim in a darts festival on Friday and had a great time. Rebekka was even recognised for her excellent attitude! Well done guys!

Year 3 have been mixing and using contrasting watercolour paints in Art on Friday! We used our primary colours to mix secondary and tertiary colours

Yr6 year had a great morning on Friday at the fire station learning about reducing accidents in play. They had sessions with the fire service, police, the electricity board, the RNLI, Nexus and the road safety department.
Yesterday afternoon, Year Four used their knowledge of warm and cool colours to create paintings of an interesting object from home. We made sure to use warm colours in the foreground and cool colours in the background to create an illusion of depth
