In Unit 10, Les Vêtements, year 6 have had fun learning how to say what they and other people are wearing and to write sentences describing theirs and others’ clothing.
In Unit 10, Les Vêtements, year 6 have had fun learning how to say what they and other people are wearing and to write sentences describing theirs and others’ clothing.
Year 6 compared a processed tomato sauce with a homemade tomato sauce with a huge majority of votes for the homemade version. They then discussed the advantages and disadvantages of both.

Year Four had a great time visiting Jarrow Monastery this morning. We met our pen pals from St Oswalds and teamed up to investigate the ruins. We used a heritage map to explore the remains of the old Anglo Saxon hall, cemetery and refectory. .
Year 6 are continuing with their drama sessions. We are now adding words and actions to our freeze frames about African home life scene before delving into the capture phase of the slave trade. 
Year 5 had their second workshop from the Healthy Minds Team for building our self esteem and confidence. This afternoon, we specifically focused on building our resilience and put this into practice when drawing our butterflies. Check out some of our butterflies!
As part of Unit 4, year 4 enjoyed playing charades and lotto to learn about animals in French.
Every Friday, year 6 share the book they are reading with their peers.


Year 5 had their first ‘Building Confidence and Resilience’ workshop on Tuesday afternoon with the Healthy Minds Team. We focused on what makes a good, positive feeling and we delved into our strengths.
On Tuesday, Reception went on a great adventure, as part of their ‘Let’s Explore’ topic. We rode the metro to South Shields, watched a movie at the Customs House, boarded a ferry and then returned back to school with very tired legs after lots of exploring.
