Reception loved their first session of little dribblers this week. We were learning how to move in different directions and how to roll the ball. It was great fun!

Year 5 started Sportshall Athletics in their P.E. lesson this week. We practised using the reverser boards for the track events and chest push for one of the field events. Check out some of our in action photos!
Year 3 had their first “We Eat Elephants” session with Emily from the Healthy Minds Team yesterday ! ☺️ We focused on how our thoughts, feelings and actions are connected.
In Autumn Term 1, in their art topic, Tints,Tones and Shades, year 6 learned about colour theory by studying the colour wheel and exploring mixing tints, shades and tones. They learned about significant landscape artworks and features of landscapes before using this knowledge to create landscape paintings.
Year 5 started their new Earth and Space topic in Science this afternoon. We learned about the Solar System and explored how the planets orbit around the sun through creating a 3D model and represented the Solar System.
Last week as part of our DT topic ‘Remarkable Recipes’ Year 2 prepared, cooked and tasted vegetable soup! On Wednesday we grated, peeled, chopped and sliced our vegetables ready for today to go out into the forest garden with Mr Usher to cook our soup on the fire. Most of us gave the soup a try and loved it. It smelt delicious! Well done to Year 2, super chefs

This morning, Year 5 visited The Word to explore the Cogs and Carnivals exhibition linked to our Forces and Mechanisms unit in Science. It added to our learning of pulleys, gears and levers. Check out some of our photos!

Year One had an amazing morning on Thursday at the Centre for Life being scientists and using our senses!

Year 6 have been collaborating and communicating with friends at opposite ends of the classroom. Together they need to create a fact file about Jamaica using Google slides.

As part of their DT topic, Food for Life, year 6 planned a whole day of healthy meals then created posters to advertise their menus.
