Year 3 loved their cosy PJ Day for Children in Need 2025 today – comfortable, cheerful, and supporting a great cause! ✨
Today, Year Four celebrated Children In Need by taking part in lots of fun activities including ‘code breaking’ linked to our Maths and English learning. We were also so impressed with their fabulous outfits!
In Reception yesterday, we have been creating our own puppet structures as part of our topic ‘Puppets and Pop-ups.

Year Four had a great time this morning during ‘Breakfast with a Book’. First, we read stories with our friends. Then, it was time for toast and juice . We finished the morning by reading a whole class book about Katherine Johnson and her contribution to Space travel!

During RE yesterday, Year 1 have been discussing the Nativity story and the different gifts – including invisible ones, that were exchanged and their relevance in the story.

Year Four began their new ‘Sound’ Science topic yrstrrday afternoon. We created a carousel of sound activities including changing pitch and volume, creating visible vibrations and listening to environmental sounds outdoors. We recorded our observations and used these to form any further questions for future lessons
Year 5 represented Bede Burn at the remembrance service held in Monkton Village on Tuesday. The class were very respectful during the service and were even congratulated by the Mayor of South Tyneside and members of the public on their conduct. Our class councillors Olivia and Zaki did a lovely job when they laid the school’s wreath on our behalf. Well done for making us proud Year 5.
On Tuesday in Science Year 2 were looking at living and non-living things as part of our topic ‘Habitats’, we were so excited to have living insects in our classroom and discussed what makes them living in comparison to the non-living objects

Year 5 had their second Sportshall Athletics lesson this afternoon in P.E. After warming up, we practised the standing long jump and 5 strides for the field events. Also, we reminded ourselves of how to safelyuse the reverser boards before practising with them and adding in the high stepper for the obstacle relay. Check out some of our in action photos!
