Year 3 have been learning all about the advent wreath in RE this week, we even made our own!

Year 3 enjoyed getting hands-on with clay this week for our new Prehistoric Pots topic in Art, learning how to score and use slip to build their creations
Year 3 had a fantastic visit to the Hindu temple in Newcastle today, bringing their recent Hinduism learning in RE to life ️

Reception have thoroughly enjoyed their little dribblers session this week. The children needed to work together as a team to collect as many items as they could using their ball skills to help.

During Y4’s DT topic, we designed , made and evaluated a healthy snack. We decided we wanted to make fruity popcorn. We added blueberries, grapes and cinnamon. It was very yummy!

Year 5 had their third Sportshall Athletics lesson this afternoon in P.E. We focussed on quick acceleration for the track relays and obstacle relays. On the field, we practised our accuracy and precision skills in the target throw. Check out some of our in action photos!

During our RE topic, Year 4 have been discussing how belief in incarnation influences the lives and choices of Christians. In groups, we looked at Bible passages and described how parts of these passages reflect the concept of incarnation.

In reception, we have been threading our own hand puppets, as part of our topic ‘Puppets and Pop ups’.
Year 5 had great fun dressing up and supporting Children in Need last Friday. We began by completing a word search, writing our own acrostic poem and answering a Children in Need reading comprehension before heading into the hall to take part in a Children in Need escape game! We had great fun supporting this worthy cause.

Year 6 had a fabulous time with their buddies, carrying out a range of activities to support Children In Need.
