In RE, year 6 have been learning about God’s creation of the earth for mankind. They discussed ways in which we could express our love and gratitude to God by being good stewards in this world, creating posters to present their ideas.
Year 3 are loving their new Geography topic this term – Rocks, Relics and Rumbles! 🌋 On Monday, we focused on the type, appearance and properties of lots of different rocks 🪨.
As part of their Inuit Art topic, year 6 carved soap in the style of Joe Ashoona, a significant Inuit artist.
In Geography this week, year 5 have been looking at how the topography and soil type affect the location of different agricultural regions in the UK. To help us, we have been using ordnance survey maps – we had lots of fun working together in groups to locate these regions on the maps. Well done year 5!

Year One explored the principles of Buddhism focussing on being kind, honest and helpful during World Religions Day. We decorated kindness pebbles to give to our friends and family, made peace flowers and shared the story of ‘The Monkey King’ , a Buddhist story.
Year 5 participated in the Great British Bird Watch on Friday afternoon from our very own forest garden. The children were very excited, equipped with hats, coats, binoculars and clipboards to record any birds that visited our garden. The weather wasn’t very kind to us so there weren’t many birds around but that didn’t dampen our spirits and our findings were greatly appreciated.
This data is vital to the RSPB so they are aware of exactly how our feathered friends are faring across the country. Well done and thank youYear 5.

As part of reception’s topic ‘Long Ago’, we have been looking at the different seasons and how it affects the weather and the environment around us. We created our own trees to show the different seasons.
