This week in RE, Year 2 have been following on from learning the story of Hanukkah to understanding the importance of the menorah to the Jewish people. We found out what a menorah looks like, why it is important and the importance of light in the story of Hanukkah.
This week, Year 2 have been practising their passing and defending skills building towards a netball game. We worked on passing accurately so that catching was made easier and building up evasion and defence skills to regain possession.





Reception loved watching Mrs Churchward make a volcano in their classroom as part of their ‘Dangerous Dinosaurs’ topic!

First snow of 2022! Year 4 snuck out for five minutes of fun during the first snowfall of the year. We were so excited to make snow angels and catch snowflakes on our tongues!






This week Year 2 have been learning about sketching and we enjoyed spending some time in the forest school looking at different plants and flowers. We though about size, structure and using careful pencil strokes to create realistic sketches. Well done Year 2.




Year 5 have started their new Science unit ‘Animals Including Humans’ by identifying the key milestones in human development.
It has been a busy week at the vets this week in Reception!

Year 5 read two versions of the traditional Nativity Story and compared them to find similarities and differences.
Year 6 enjoyed a call with Santa direct from the North Pole!
