We had the most fantastic afternoon at Monkton Stadium hosting Bede Burn’s Race For Life. We were joined by all children and staff at school as well as many siblings, mams, dads, grandmas and granddads as well as other family and friends.

The whole school have really enjoyed the Pride picnic today. We have spent the morning discussing differences in the community and in families linked to the LGBTQ+ community.
We all dressed up in rainbow colours to celebrate pride and diversity.
As part of our ‘Once upon a time’ topic Reception have been lucky enough to have lots of storytellers this week.
Y6 really enjoyed their session with a personal trainer who put them through their paces. A great start to the day!
Reading for a purpose!
In English this week we went on a fairy story hunt looking to practice possessive apostrophes where we were giving clues to our classmates to guess which fairy story we had chosen for example “the girl’s glass slipper” as a clue for Cinderella.
This week we ate a rainbow!
A big thank you to Morrisons, Jarrow for letting us explore their fruit aisle, finding out where different fruits grow and for providing us with our rainbow of fruits to try.
