Year 1 received some beautiful hand made flowers from our Year 5 pupils who had written kind, positive, messages to us as part of their work in PSHE. It really brightened our day reading some of the inspirational things they had written for us. Thank you so much Year 5 😊
Year 1 went on a trip to the Open Zone to take part in some computing activities.
We used animations with Scratch Jr and robotics with Wedo.
We learnt how to follow visual instructions to build a model, predict functions of the programming blocks, sequence a series of commands and so much more! It was such a fun day!
Y6 Experiment: Paper Aeroplanes. How far will they travel?
Y4 have used wooden block prints to create repeated patterns in the style of William Morris. First, they critiqued William Morris prints and recognised the repeated patterns and the colour palette. They then looked at the techniques necessary to create patterns using wooden printing blocks.
They really enjoyed experimenting with brushes and sponges to use the wooden block prints most effectively.
Year 2 have loved making pizza. We thought about our ingredients, method and then wrote instructions so others can make pizza too!
On Wednesday 6th July, Y3 went on their memorable experience to Segedunum in Wallsend.
Here Y3 got to experience life in a Roman Fort as a soldier and practise training and dressing up as if it were 2000 years ago!
Y3 had to travel on the metro there and back and their attitude and behaviour was excellent!
Y6 have enjoyed designing and constructing the props for their end of year production.
