Y1 completed a traffic survey to collect data for their spreadsheets in computing.

Year 5 had a fabulous day at Rainton Meadows yesterday. We enjoyed an outdoor mini beast hunt followed by pond dipping.

Year 3 had a wonderful time visiting Jarrow library!

Year 4 discussed how materials change from one state to another. Today, we experimented with a chocolate button where we placed one onto our hand. After a short while, the chocolate button started to melt into a liquid from the heat of our hand. It changed its state of matter from a solid into a liquid. We enjoyed having the remains!

In English, in Year 2, we have been looking at haiku poems. In today lessons, we have been looking at seasonal images and creating a descriptive word bank, which we can use for our own haiku poems.
Year 3 have been using flashback four questions in maths today!

Year 4 enjoyed ‘Wear your Colours’ day and they were super proud to show off their teams and colours.

Today is World Poetry Day. Year 6 have been creating Diamanté poems about an Arctic Fox, in preparation for writing descriptive poems, based on the poem ‘Tyger’ by William Blake, next week.

In Year 2, we have been recapping the events of the Easter Story in RE. We decided to embrace the glorious sunshine and take our lesson outside to find the different events and write them in the correct order.
