In Year 4 , we celebrated World Composer Day by creating our own winter musical sequences using sound symbols. Also, we researched and discovered interesting facts about Ludwig Van Beethoven.

For World Composers Day Year 6 have explored the life of Edward Elgar and listened to some of his compositions. They also composed their own rhythms, on the tongue drums, focussing on quavers, crotchets and minimums.
In reception today, we have been looking at and discussing old photographs. We then created our own black and white photos using the iPads.

During our Year 4 Geography lesson, we worked in groups to create a presentation discussing how rivers change our landscape. The children discussed the three physical processes: erosion, transportation and deposition.
In computing, year 6 have been learning how to use spreadsheets. During the all day session, they gained an understanding of: how to collect data; how to format a spreadsheet; how to add formulas and how to calculate and duplicate. They ended the session by planning a party within their given budget.

In last weeks Friday’s Book Talk, year 6 shared their new books with their peers.

In sessions one and two of KidsSafe, year six discussed; feelings, building trust, trusted adults, bullying and saying, “No!”


Year 3 have been exploring force meters in Science last week, looking at the force of everyday tasks in and around our classroom 👩🔬
This week, Year 2 began looking at money in Maths, we had so much fun playing shops, first using pence and then using pounds – even notes! We were able to play shopkeeper, customer and banker. We had a browse of the things our friends had for sale before heading to the ‘bank’ to ask for the correct amount of money that we needed 💷
