We’ve had a lovely visitor in Year 5 this week…. Ted and his owner from dogs trust who has been teaching us all about how to stay safe around dogs and recognise the emotions dogs experience and how we can respond appropriately.
Year 5 have started their new PE block with a gymnastics coach. We have been practising different types of balances this week and will continue to build on this in the coming weeks.
In Reception we have been putting our word building skills to the test!
During Show Racism The Red Card Day, Y6 have thought hard about questions such as:
– what is racism?
– what is respect?
– what would you do if you were subject to racism?
– what are the consequences of racism?
Year 6 attended South Shields Fire Station to learn about how to reduce accidents at play from a wide variety of external providers.
In science, Year 3 are learning about human nutrition and the skeletal system. We discussed the scientific names of certain bones and had a go at labelling them on our friends’ bodies
