Year 3 – Easter Origami Rabbits

Today we made origami rabbits using special origami paper. We picked our favourite colours, or colours that reminded us of Easter and we followed the tricky instructions to fold them correctly. Some of us made whole families!

On Tuesday, Mrs Todd treated us to an amazing Easter Cafe! We tasted hot cross buns and got to make chocolate nests too.

Year 5 Guided Reading Outside

This morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather and took our guided reading task outside. We all enjoyed getting a bit of extra fresh air. Fingers crossed that as summer starts we can take advantage of this brilliant space.

Year 5 – Science Day

Year 5 – Science day, we investigated lots of different forces such as gravity, air resistance, water resistance and friction.

We looked at some famous scientists, such as Isaac Newton and Galileo, and their theories.

Everyone worked within a group and built on their communication and team work skills and produced a wonderful poster and video about science day.

We have been looking at work by the artist James Rizzi. He makes some of his pictures 3D using the layering technique. We tried this with our pictures by layering cardboard under some of the pieces of our pictures to make them 3D.

Year 5 STEM challenge

Last week Year 5 undertook a STEM challenge to see if they could create an aeroplane launcher. Some of us were successful, some of us weren’t but we all had fun working as a team and solving problems. Well done Year 5.
