Wow! What a brilliant start we had to World Book Day this morning led by Mrs Peel (Maleficent). We showed each other our costumes in a cat walk style walk of each class around the hall and talked about what books certain costumes were from. Thanks for Mrs Peel for all of your hard work to plan our World book day for 2023 and it’s only just begun.

Mr Mc and the cleaners have been working really hard over the holidays to make sure that the school is looking all clean and tidy for our return to school on Monday. Thanks so much!
Mrs Smith is having a lovely relaxing half term in Spain with her husband Jim and son Toby. They have been enjoying the sunshine, tapas and meeting friends in the little Spanish village.
As part of our ‘Bright Lights Big City’ Knowledge Rich Project Year One have been developing their DT skills through there mini topic of ‘Taxi’. They have been investigating how wheels, chassis and axels work before starting to design, plan and make their own taxi.

We have had great fun and developed many of our DT skills and the process in order to make Beach Huts linked to our topic Geography ‘Coastline’. I’m sure you’ll agree that these are really impressive. Well Done Year Two!

Over the last two weeks Year Two have been really busy learning how to light fires and the safety behind this, making dens and chilling out in them and toasted marshmallows – yummy!
