Y5 – Sophia learns how to keep safe in the water – 11.6.2023

Sophia has been attending Rookies with South Shields Volunteer lifeguards . She’s learning all about keeping herself safe in the water and about helping others who are in danger . She’s learnt how to swim too ⭐️

She’s just got her first certificate which is a massive achievement for her .  Well done Sophia we are really proud.

Y5 – Abi’s camper van travels – 31.5.2023

1st June 2023Helen Smith

Abi has spent half term travelling around the West Coast and Highlands of Scotland in a camper van.

She’s been to wave at the Harry Potter train, rode a cable car up Ben Nevis, took in the views at Applecross Pass and went walking to Fyrish Monument near Alness. Finishing up with a visit to her Nana who lives in Evanton.

Y2 – Scarlett gets the chop for charity – 30.5.2023

So this happened today!! Scarlett got her lovely locks cut! Doesn’t she look beautiful! She didn’t just get a hair cut 💇‍♀️ but did it in order to raise money for the princess trust!! Well done Scarlett! We are so proud of you!

In Forest school Reception are investigating which foods mini beasts prefer. The children predicted which food they thought different mini beasts would like best and why. We left our little snack trays next to the amazing Bug Hotels made by Year 5.

Reception – We have the mini-beast bug! – UW – 12.5.2023

Reception have definitely got the ‘mini-beast’ bug. 🪲

From camping trips 🐌 to family walks 🕷  and bike rides 🐝, they are on the look out.
Ruby also rescued one of her favourite mini beasts because she knew it was in the wrong habitat!.😌

Reception – Mini Beast Hunt – KUW – 4.5.2023

As part of our  topic ‘Creep, Crawl and Wriggle’ 🐛 the children have been on their own mini beast hunts. 🐞 Evelyn has written about the bug hotel she made with her Granny, Isla made her own list and went hunting in the 🪱  garden and Amalie did some mini beast spotting whilst out on a bike ride. 🦋

Y5 – Abigail enjoys Easter in Thailand and Singapore

15th April 2023Helen Smith

Abigail was lucky enough to visit an elephant sanctuary on Ko Lanta in Thailand. She’s also done lots of swimming and took a bike ride in Singapore.

She’s looking forward to seeing all of her friends on Monday.
