At the end of our Moving Mechanisms DT topic, the children were set a challenge to design and make a product that uses a pneumatic system that would be helpful in the home. After coming to give the class a deeper understanding of pneumatics (and hydraulics), our school governor, Craig Wilkinson, was so impressed, he actually made the challenge into a competition! He had a very hard job trying to pick three winners as he was blown away by people’s ideas!
Eventually he was able to pick three:
1st place: Scarlett Munro who won a trophy and £15 of Amazon vouchers
2nd place: Milly Malone who won £15 of Amazon vouchers
3rd place: Eva Abernethy who won £15 of Amazon vouchers
A massive well done to our budding Young Engineers of the future and a big thank you to our judge, Craig Wilkinson.
Year 6 had a fabulous time helping their reception buddies to design and create models as part of their DT project.
A group of year 6 children recently attended The Urban Factory to compete in a gymnastics tournament. They had great fun joining in all of the activities on offer as well as showing off their gymnastic routines.

Year 6 researched, designed and created salt dough decorations for their Christmas STEM project.

Year 4/5 enjoyed the Skipping into Christmas festival this morning. Check out some of our skipping skills!

Year One loved putting their creative skills to work, designing, making and improving their Christmas crafts ready to sell at the Christmas Fayre.

Year 5 enjoyed making their Christmas STEM projects, which we sold at our Christmas Fayre. Check out some of our Christmas tree decorations!

Yesterday, reception enjoyed Christmas jumper and STEM day. We designed and created pine cone Christmas trees and lots of fun activities throughout the day.
