This half term Carter has been to mini golf, Wheelbirks Parlour to the haunted barn followed by ice cream and also a visit to Hopetown and to play in their fabulous new play area. This has been highly recommended by Carter’s family! This has then been followed by trick or treating and obviously a few games of football. Hope everyone has enjoyed their break.
Lola and Harrison’s have had so much half term fun already. They have been on a Pumpkin trail at Plessey Woods, to a Halloween party, to Bath bomb making at Lush, made Haunted Houses at the glass centre and Harrison has enjoying the match!! Full of busy but looks so much fun!

Year 6 were lucky enough to partake in a workshop delivered by the Waste & Recycling Education Centre about the importance of recycling and our local waste management centre.
Mrs Smith was over the moon to see these two visitors to her office this afternoon to show off their fabulous artwork depicting the devastation that plastic pollution is causing to sea creatures. Alfie has made a whale and the clear bottle used is filled with small shards of plastic showing the impact that small pieces of plastic are having to the fish and whale population not just on the outside but on the inside of their bodies.
Beth’s artwork was of a jellyfish. As you can see her jellyfish looks extremely sad. One of its tentacles has been intercepted by a piece of plastic and this is impacting on the jellyfish’s ability to freely float through the ocean.
Well done! Some super artwork and great descriptions making links to climate change! Mrs Smith was very impressed!
Y6 parents were invited into school on Wednesday afternoon (8th February) to Come Observe Our Learning linked to Safer Internet Day.
This week our focus has been on the fundamental skill of static balance and playing game of bench volley ball.
