Year 5/6 enjoyed their homework reward on Friday morning. We participated in various activities including colouring, outdoor games, Just Dance, crafts and games. We had a great morning!
Last Friday, year 6 school council candidates delivered their manifestos to the class. Lots of lovely ideas shared for actions they would like to achieve if elected.
Year 6 are starting their PE sessions with cross country running, aiming to work on stamina and endurance.

In this week’s athletics PE lesson, year 6 learned several skipping techniques and practised a variety of races for sports day.

Year 6 attended a Road Safety workshop today, in preparation for their transition to Comprehensive.

Year 6 started their new topic, Inuit Art, by researching the subject and creating pic collages of Inuit art that they found appealing.

Year 6 researched facts about penguins then followed a tutorial to draw penguins to add to their fact files. They also used their art skills to mix tints, tones and shades in cool colours to create icy, igloo artwork. Their fun-packed “Faraway Friday” was finished off with chalk sketches of the Aurora Borealis.
