Rec – UW – Machines now and then – 25.11.2025

In Reception, as part of our topic ‘Marvellous Machines’ we have been looking at how machines have changed over the years and investigating if they are more efficient.  We finished the lesson with a lovely smoothie.

Reception – PE – Little Dribblers – 19.11.2025

Reception have thoroughly enjoyed their little dribblers session this week. The children needed to work together as a team to collect as many items as they could using their ball skills to help.

In Reception yesterday, we have been creating our own puppet structures as part of our topic ‘Puppets and Pop-ups.

Rec – Digital Art – Jackson Pollock Firework Pictures- 7.11.2025

In Reception we have started our new topic ‘Marvellous Machines’.  We looked at the work of artist Jackson Pollack which inspired us to create our own firework inspired pictures on the yard and then we continued this digitally using the iPads.

Reception loved their first session of little dribblers this week. We were learning how to move in different directions and how to roll the ball. It was great fun!

Rec – UW – Transport Trip – Let’s Explore – 14.10.2026

On Tuesday, Reception went on a great adventure, as part of their ‘Let’s Explore’ topic. We rode the metro to South Shields, watched a movie at the Customs House, boarded a ferry and then returned back to school with very tired legs after lots of exploring.

Yesterday, Reception went on an adventure around our local area, visiting the park and enjoying a teddy bears picnic with our friends from St Oswald’s.

KS1 – Computing Club – Creating Information Texts – 22.9.2025

In week one, in KS1 computing club, we learnt how to login and create images and last week we found out how to write digitally. Today we started creating information texts about our favourite animals by combining the skills we’ve learnt so far! We even learnt how to use copy and paste!
