Year 5 had their final Dodgeball lesson on Tuesday afternoon in preparation for the Dodgeball Competition next week. We focused on our strategy and tactics to make it as hard as possible for the opposing team to catch our balls. We have our competitive spirit and we’re looking forward to the competition. Some of our Year Five children got the chance to try their aim in a darts festival on Friday and had a great time. Rebekka was even recognised for her excellent attitude! Well done guys!

Year 5 enjoyed Poetry and Pancakes with their parents as part of World Poetry Day. We explored figurative language poetry features throughout the day before showcasing our work to our parents. Year 4 had a wonderful day celebrating World Poetry Day! We wrote our own haiku poems and performed them to our parents. We even enjoyed pancakes!

Year 5 started Sportshall Athletics in their P.E. this afternoon. After warming up, we practised the javelin, which is one of the field events in Sportshall Athletics. We focused on starting in the offset position and pulling the javelin through. Check out some of our in action photos!
Our KS2 runners did brilliantly at the cross country competition on Thursday ! ♀️ Amazing effort, determination, and fantastic team spirit all round – well done everyone! ⭐
Year 5 had another Cross Country lesson in P.E. on Tuesday. After warming up, we practised Fartlek training and partner running to help us to develop our pace ready for the Cross Country competition. We also discussed race tactics to help us when racing. Check out some of our in action photos!
Year 5 have been practising their Cross Country this afternoon where we have focused on strategies that we can use to help us when we start to get tired during a cross country run. We focused on using our arms, tactics in a race and motivating each other.
