Yesterday some of our KS2 children attended our very first swimming gala at Haven Point. The afternoon was a fabulous display of skill, sportsmanship, and team spirit!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 4 enjoyed participating in two raingarden sessions with John which were linked to our current topic ‘Misty Mountain, Winding River’. Our first afternoon involved us developing our understanding of what a rain garden is and how we were going to make our rain garden. Our second afternoon involved us creating our rain garden which we have built outside our Year 4 classroom.

Some of Y4’s learnt about Islam during World Religions Day yesterday!
Year 3 and 4 had a great morning exploring and digging in our Archaeology experience! We enjoyed an assembly all about Archaeology then a class workshop. We thoroughly enjoyed working in groups to do an Archaeology dig which involved us taking on the roles of excavators, illustrators and dusters. It gave us a great insight into the profession and we would love to explore this more. Check out our photos!
This afternoon, Year 4 were invited on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society to participate in a Singing for the Brain event where we sang various Christmas songs to people who are living with Dementia.
This was another successful Christmas singing performance from Year 4 which we thoroughly enjoyed! We enjoyed some juice and sweets afterwards for our brilliant Christmas singing. The Alzheimer’s Society said they would love to welcome us back to sing again in the future. Well done Year 4!
Year 4 enjoyed a festive, Christmas morning at St. Oswald’s Primary School this morning where we enjoyed watching a Christmas movie (The Grinch), with hot chocolate and festive colourings. We had a lovely morning and thank you St Oz for hosting our Year 4 collab.
