



Year 4 had a fantastic morning learning about Children in Need.
Year 4 were lucky enough to be invited to be involved in a range of sports with the led by the young play leaders at St Joseph’s.
Year 4 had a fantastic DT lesson where we prepared and made healthy snacks for our topic Fresh Food, Good Food. Different groups made different snacks including hummus with carrot and celery sticks, fruit kebabs and fruity popcorn, then went round letting everyone sample each of them. We discussed the taste and texture of each snack, what made them healthy and if they would be suitable for a snack to take to school.
Year 4 were lucky enough to have a food waste workshop with Groundworks, we learned about how food gets to us, what we can do in order to reduce our wastage and the impact of this on our environment.
Year 4 had a lovely but cold and wet afternoon in the Forest Garden. We looked at changes in environments and how these can impact on eco-systems and food webs.
Year 4 had a lovely afternoon at St Oswald’s church in Hebburn, we learned about how The Bible can be represented in lots of different ways and the different features of a church.
Year 4 had a lovely morning with some of our parents and carers. We love the chance to sit and enjoy a range of texts with some tasty snacks!
In maths today we were recapping and revisiting our place value unit by working in pairs to complete flashback 4.
