Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their last Christmas party on Monday – lots of memories made.
A group of year 6 children recently attended The Urban Factory to compete in a gymnastics tournament. They had great fun joining in all of the activities on offer as well as showing off their gymnastic routines.

Year 6 researched, designed and created salt dough decorations for their Christmas STEM project.

Mrs Smith had the absolute privilege of accompanying Bede Burn school choir to the annual Carol service at Jarrow Cemetery!! The children sang beautifully and were a real credit to Bede Burn! Thank you so much to the choir and their parents for coming along on a Saturday! It was a real festive treat despite the rain ️ and the children carried on regardless!

Year 6 worked in groups to produce informative posters about how climate change and extreme weather affects people around the world, ranking the worst affected top ten.

Year 6 had a very busy no pens day. In the morning they investigated the practical side of their current maths topic: measurement, read and presented persuasive speeches, in line with their English topic, before guided reading with their reception buddies. The afternoon consisted of a gymnastics lesson, followed by a French speaking and listening lesson and a chance to show off all of their oracy skills to their parents during COOL afternoon.

Year 6 had a fabulous time with their buddies, carrying out a range of activities to support Children In Need.
