On Friday Year 1 designed inventions for our ‘Innovate Challenge’. Our theme was ‘Making Waves’. We were inspired by Isaac Usher in assembly and some of us even had our designs ready from home. We thought hard about how our invention would help the ocean and the creatures in it. Check out some of our fantastic invention designs which have labels and some very cool ideas. As part of Year 1’s new Art topic ‘Rain and Sunrays’, we have been creating our own weather symbols in the forest garden.
In computing, we programmed robots to navigate the city, and of course, no London day would be complete without a screening of Paddington! We even found time for a delightful tea party… thankfully, nobody slipped on a jam tart! It was a fantastic day full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of London magic.
As part of Year 1’s DT topic ‘Taxi’, we started to construct our own taxis by adding the axles and wheels onto our chassis’.

Our Year 1 and Year 5 pupils had a lovely start to the day sharing breakfast and a book. What a way to show your love of reading.
Teddy has had a great adventure flying to Paris Disney, enjoying the rides and meeting his favourite Disney characters.
It was also Teddy’s first time on a plane flying ✈️. It looks like you’ve had a magical time Teddy!
The Clarke Family went to Edinburgh for 2 days this week and Olivia wanted to show you some of the fun she had. They went on the train which was her first time, they went to dynamic earth where we got to touch a real iceberg, on a tour bus around the city, to the childhood museum and the national museum of Scotland. They had so much fun exploring. It looks like a fabulous trip!

We are super proud of Esmie who did the Mini Great North run and raised £180 for the charity ‘Heal and Toe’.
As part of our topic ‘Move It’, reception visited Jarrow School to take part in some sporting activities lead by their Year 9 Sports Leaders.
Look at how amazing our Reception children are at writing sentences. We are so proud!
