On their Diversity Day visit to France, year six learnt all about the physical and man-made features of France as well as naming it’s towns cities and famous landmarks. They had great fun playing, “Jacques a dit” and “Trouvez le criminel.”
Year 6 had a visit today from Emily from Healthy Minds. They talked about their concerns about transitioning to Comprehensive and discussed coping methods to deal with any worries.

This week in Art, year 6 colour-matched paintings of insects by the artist, Lucy Arnold.

On their Diversity Day visit to France, year four learnt all about the physical and man-made features of France as well as naming the towns, cities and famous landmarks. They also learned the French song, “La Belle au bois dormant.”
On their Diversity Day visit to France, year 3 learned about France and the countries surrounding it as well as French commands and a French song, “La Belle au Bois Dormant.” (Sleeping Beauty.)
On year 2’s Diversity Day visit to France, they learnt all about France, read some French books and learnt the nursery rhyme, “Nounours, nounours.”
Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to France on Diversity Day. They learned to ask, “ What are you called?” And, “I am called……” They listened (and joined in) to the French story of The Hungry Caterpillar as well as playing a fun game of following commands.
So impressed with Reception on their Diversity Day visit to France. They read French storybooks and learned to say, “I am called …..” in French. Well done Reception.
This week in cricket, year 6 combined all of the throwing, catching, batting, bowling and fielding skills that they have learnt over the past weeks in order to play a competitive game of cricket.
In week 5 of cricket, year 6 continued to practise their catching, batting and overarm bowling (with an added bounce before delivery.)
