Today candidates delivered their manifestos to the class and then we visited the polling station to vote for our school councillor, preparing for life in Modern Day Britain, democracy in action!

This afternoon in Music we have been learning all about body percussion in Year 4! We have learnt all about tempo, dynamics, texture and structure. We have been making and performing our own sequences using boom, clap, click and snapping sounds 🥁🎼

Y3/4 – Ava and Isla audition for a part in Oliver – Drama – 6.6.2023

Ava & Isla auditioned for the professional production of Oliver and they are both extra excited to tell you all they successfully gained a place yesterday. They’ll be performing at the Tyne Theatre in September…Great achievement for them both 🙂 Well done girls!

Today in maths, Year 3 have been using concrete resources (base 10 and place value grids) to work out 1, 10 or 100 more or less. We learned about ‘exchanging’ and demonstrated exchanges using the resources.

It’s been a busy summer as we moved house, explored the new area and found a bountiful, blackberry bush nearby. They loved making smoothies and ice lollies to enjoy in the heat!
